Thank you to those who have bought my latest cartoon book. I promised to donate all proceeds to charity, covering all production costs, and not claim any tax deduction.
This morning, I sent the first $12,000 raised to HOME. A further donation will be sent after I close the sale of the book by end of August.
In the interest of transparency, I have posted the acknowledgment letter from HOME with their permission. Even though I have also donated all proceeds from previous editions to charity and claimed no tax deductions, a poisoned pen letter to NUS questioned whether I had personally benefitted from sales of my cartoon books.
