We are pleased to launch the assessment for the Governance Index for Trusts (GIFT) for 2022, with the support of the Singapore Exchange. This will be the sixth edition of GIFT. We are targeting to release the latest report and ranking in November 2022.
REITs and business trusts will shortly be contacted to participate in the self-assessment which we will take into account in our assessment. In the past, we achieved participation rates as high as 80% in the self-assessment and we look forward to their active participation again this year.
There are no changes in the scoring guidelines for this year. We are considering updating the scoring guidelines next year, to incorporate some items on governance and remuneration practices relating to environmental and social risks and opportunities.
